VLC is a free program with an orange traffic cone as its symbol. It is a simple way to test your service on a MacBook or iMac.
1

Open Safari

Click the compass picture in the row of icons at the bottom of your screen. Type videolan.org at the top, and press Return.
2

Download VLC

Click Download VLC. If it offers a choice, Apple Silicon is for newer Macs, and Intel is for older ones. Check by clicking the Apple symbol at the top left, then About This Mac.
3

Open the file

Click the Downloads icon near the top of Safari. Double-click the VLC file. A small window opens.
4

Drag it to Applications

Drag the orange cone onto the Applications folder in that window. Let go. This installs it.
5

Open VLC

Open Launchpad or the Applications folder, and click VLC. Your Mac asks if you are sure. Check that it says VideoLAN, and click Open.
6

Copy your link

Open your welcome email. Select your M3U link, and press Command and C together.
7

Open your link in VLC

In VLC, click File at the very top of your screen, then Open Network. Press Command and V to paste your link. Click Open.
8

Choose a channel

A channel starts playing. Click Window at the top, then Playlist, to see the list. Double-click a channel. Press F to fill the screen, and Esc to return.
