Roku has no widely supported IPTV app. Mirroring means your TV copies your phone’s screen. It is fine for an occasional program, but it is not ideal for every day.
1

Connect both to the same Wi-Fi

Your phone and Roku must be on the same Wi-Fi network. Check your phone’s Wi-Fi settings and your Roku’s network settings.
2

Open Settings on the Roku

On the Roku remote, press Home. Choose Settings, then System, then Screen Mirroring.
3

Allow mirroring

Choose Screen Mirroring Mode, then Prompt. This means the Roku asks you before accepting your phone.
4

Start a channel on your phone

Open your IPTV app on your phone and begin playing a channel. Plug in your phone, since this uses a lot of battery.
5

Open the quick menu on your phone

Swipe down from the top of the phone’s screen. Look for Smart View, Cast or Screen Cast. Tap it. The name depends on your phone.
6

Choose your Roku

Tap the name of your Roku in the list. On the TV, choose Allow. Your phone’s screen appears on the TV. Turn your phone sideways to fill the screen.
7

Know the limits

Your phone must stay on. Expect a small delay and some drops in quality. If you plan to watch often, a small Fire TV or Android TV device on a free HDMI port is much better.
