Apps from outside Amazon’s store are not checked by Amazon. A few simple habits keep you, your stick and your passwords safe.
1

Get apps from the official source

Only download from the app maker’s own website. Do not use a link from a video description, a Facebook post or a stranger. If you do not know which website is official, ask us first.
2

Avoid anything that sounds too good

Words like “cracked”, “modded” or “free premium” are warning signs. These apps may steal the passwords you type into them. Paying a few dollars to the real maker is cheaper and much safer.
3

Read every warning

If your stick shows a warning that mentions a virus or harmful app, stop. Choose Cancel or Delete, and do not install it. Message us if you are not sure what a message means.
4

Delete the installer afterwards

After installing, Downloader offers to delete the installer file. Choose Delete. Your app stays installed. If you missed this, open Downloader, then go to Files on the left, to delete it there.
5

Turn the permission off again

Press Home, then go to Settings, My Fire TV, Developer Options, Install Unknown Apps. Press Select on Downloader so that it says Off. You can turn it back on any time you need it.
6

Be careful of phone calls

We will not call you out of the blue to fix your TV or ask for money. If someone does, hang up. Contact us using only the details on this website.
7

Still need help?

That is completely fine. If you think you installed something harmful, stop using it and tell us. Message us on WhatsApp or by email, any day from 6 AM to 11 PM Eastern Time. Tell us your device and what you see on the screen. A photo of the TV screen helps a lot.

If something goes wrong

Still need help?

Message the IPTV Canada support team every day from 6 AM to 11 PM Eastern, in English or French. A photo of your screen helps us a lot.
