You need your Wi-Fi name and password. They are usually printed on a sticker on your internet box.
1

Find your Wi-Fi password

Look for a sticker on the side or the back of your internet box. Look for words such as SSID or Network for the name, and Password or Key for the password. Write them down clearly.
2

Press the Home button

On your Fire TV remote, find the button with a small picture of a house. Press it once. The main Fire TV screen appears. If you ever feel lost, this button always brings you back here.
3

Open Settings

Press the right side of the round ring on your remote until you reach the small gear picture on the top row. Then press the middle of the ring. This middle button is called Select, and it works like “OK”.
4

Open Network

Press the arrows to find Network, then press Select. A list of nearby Wi-Fi networks appears. It may take a few seconds to fill in. Your neighbours’ networks will be listed too, so that is normal.
5

Choose your network

Find the name from your sticker, and press Select. If you see two similar names, and one ends in “5G”, choose that one if it is strong. It is usually faster when the stick is close to the internet box.
6

Type the password

Type your password on the on-screen keyboard. Capital letters count, so press the capital key where needed. To see what you typed, look for the option to show the password.
7

Connect

Move to Connect and press Select. After a few moments, the word Connected appears under the network’s name. If you see an error, check your password and try once more.
8

Still need help?

That is completely fine. If it will not connect, restart the stick and your internet box, then try again. Message us on WhatsApp or by email, any day from 6 AM to 11 PM Eastern Time. Tell us your device and what you see on the screen. A photo of the TV screen helps a lot.
