This happens to everybody. You almost certainly did not break anything. These steps will bring you back.
1

Take a breath

Nothing you press with a remote will break your TV or your subscription. Please do not worry.
2

Press Back

Press the button with a curved arrow. Press it once, and look at the screen. Press it a few more times if needed.
3

Press Home

Press the button with the house. You return to the main screen. Now open your TV app again.
4

Check the TV’s input

If the screen is blank or says No Signal, you may have pressed Input on the TV’s remote. Press it again, and choose your HDMI number.
5

Is someone talking on the screen?

If your device is reading the menus aloud, you may have turned on a voice feature. On a Fire TV, hold Back and Menu together for two seconds to turn off VoiceView.
6

Is everything zoomed in?

On a Fire TV, the magnifier may be on. Hold Back and Fast Forward together for two seconds to turn it off.
7

Restart if nothing else works

Unplug the device for one minute, then plug it back in. Your settings will still be there.
8

Still need help?

That is completely fine. A photo of the screen will show us what happened. Message us on WhatsApp or by email, any day from 6 AM to 11 PM Eastern Time. Tell us your device and what you see on the screen. A photo of the TV screen helps a lot.
