1
Press Input on the TV remote
Use your TV’s remote, not the streaming device’s. Press Input or Source, then choose the HDMI number your device is plugged into.
2
Check the device has power
Look at the small light on your stick or box. If there is none, check the power cable and the wall outlet.
3
Push the cables in firmly
Push the HDMI connection firmly into the TV. If you use a short extender, check both ends. Loose connections are very common.
4
Try another HDMI port
Move the device to a different port, then choose that number with Input.
5
Unplug everything for a minute
Unplug the TV and the device from the wall. Wait one minute. Plug in the TV first, then the device.
6
Check the power source
Plug the device’s power into a wall outlet, rather than the TV’s USB port. The TV’s port is often too weak.
