How to Install TiviMate on Google TV and Android TV

Install TiviMate from the app store on Sony, TCL, Hisense and other Google TV sets, then add your login.

Google TV sets have an app store built in, which makes this simple. You do not need any extra tools for it.

Start

Press the Home button

Find the button with a small picture of a house on your remote, and press it. The main screen appears. This button always brings you back if you feel lost.

Open the app store

On Google TV, move to the Apps tab at the top, then choose Search for apps. On Android TV, open the colourful Play Store triangle. Both give you the same apps.

Search for TiviMate

Use the search box, and type TiviMate. You can also press the microphone button on your remote and say it. Choose the app, and check that the maker’s name matches.

Press Install

Choose Install and press OK. Wait until it says Open. Your TV must be signed in to a Google account. If it asks you to sign in, follow the steps on the screen.

Open TiviMate

Choose Open. The first screen offers to add a playlist. A playlist simply means your list of channels.

Choose Xtream Codes

Choose Xtream Codes if your email lists a username and password. If it gives one long link, choose M3U and enter that instead.

Find your welcome email

On your phone or computer, open the email we sent you. Search for “StreamIPTV”. If it is not there, look in the Spam or Junk folder. Keep the email open, because you will copy from it in the next steps.

Type the server address

Move to the box called Server, URL or Portal. It is the web address in your email, which starts with http. Type all of it, including any number at the end such as :8080. Do not add any spaces.

Type your username

Move to the Username box. Type it exactly as it appears in your email. Capital letters and small letters count as different letters, so copy them just as they are.

Type your password

Move to the Password box. Type it carefully. The number 0 and the letter O look alike, and so do the small letter l and the capital I. Compare with your email if you are unsure.

Check your typing

Before you continue, compare each box with your email, one letter at a time. A single wrong letter stops everything from working. This takes a minute and saves a lot of trouble.

Press Next

Choose Next. TiviMate shows how many channels it found. Then choose Done.

Wait for your channels

The app now downloads your list of channels. This can take several minutes the first time. Please leave it alone until it finishes. Pressing buttons now can stop it partway.

Final step

Try a channel

Press the arrows to choose a channel, and press Select to watch it. If you see a picture and hear sound after a few seconds, everything is working. Well done.
