Your TV has several inputs, like different doors. If it is looking through the wrong one, you will see a blank screen, even though everything else works.

Start

Find your TV’s remote

Use the remote that came with your TV, not the streaming device’s remote.

Find the Input button

Look for a button marked Input or Source. It sometimes shows a rectangle with an arrow pointing in.

Press it

A list appears on the screen, usually with names like HDMI 1, HDMI 2 and TV.

Check the number on the back

Look at where your streaming device is plugged in. The port usually has a number beside it, such as HDMI 2.

Choose that number

Use the arrows on your TV’s remote to choose the matching number, then press OK. The picture should appear within a few seconds.

Try them all if needed

If you cannot see the number, try each one in turn. You cannot harm anything by doing this.

Final step

Get back to regular TV

Press Input again, and choose TV to go back to regular channels, if you still have them.
