How to Set Up IPTV on a MAG Box

Set up IPTV on a MAG box with a portal URL: find your MAC address, send it to your provider, enter the portal in system settings and restart.

A MAG box does not use apps or playlists. It connects to a portal, and your provider links your subscription to the box’s MAC address. Find your MAC address first, since you need to send it to your provider before anything will load.
Start
Find your MAC address
Look on the sticker under the box, or in Settings under Device Info. It starts with 00:1A:79.
Send it to support
Send the MAC address to your provider, who registers it and gives you a portal URL.
Enter the portal
Open Settings, then System Settings, then Servers, then Portals. Enter any name and paste your portal URL exactly.
Save and restart
Save your changes and restart the box. The portal loads on startup.
Final step
Load channels and test
Wait for channels and the guide to load, which can take a few minutes the first time. Then play a live channel for several minutes. If the picture stutters, switch to 5 GHz Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
