Text size:
Subtitles put the words on your screen. Availability depends on the channel. Live TV often has fewer than movies.
Start
Play something
Open a movie or a TV channel. It is easier to test with a well-known channel or a movie first.
Open the player controls
Press Select or OK on your remote. On a phone, tap the picture. A bar of small symbols appears.
Look for the symbol
Look for a small speech bubble, a box marked CC, or the word Subtitles.
Choose a language
Select it, then choose your language. If the list is empty, this program has no subtitles.
Change the size
Many apps let you change the text’s size in their settings. Look under Subtitles or Captions.
Check your device’s settings
Devices also have their own caption settings. Look under Accessibility in your device’s settings.
Final step
Still need help?
That is completely fine. Tell us the channel, and we can check whether subtitles are available. Message us on WhatsApp or by email, any day from 6 AM to 11 PM Eastern Time. Tell us your device and what you see on the screen. A photo of the TV screen helps a lot.
