An M3U link is one long web address containing your details. Use this guide if your email gives you a link rather than a username and password.

Start

Install the phone app first

Long links are tiring to type with a remote. Install the free Amazon Fire TV app on your phone, and connect it to your stick. It lets you type or paste using your phone’s keyboard.

Open TiviMate

Press and hold Home, choose Apps, then select TiviMate. The first time, it shows Add Playlist. If you already use it, go to Settings, Playlists, then Add Playlist.

Choose M3U Playlist

Select M3U Playlist. Then choose Enter URL. URL simply means web address. Do not choose the option for a file.

Enter your link

Type or paste the whole link from your email. It is long, and every character matters. Make sure you include everything, even the part after the question mark. Then choose Next.

Check the channel count

TiviMate shows how many channels it found. If it says zero, the link has a mistake or your account has ended. Check your typing, or message us.

Name the playlist

Type a simple name such as “Home”, then choose Next. If it asks for a TV guide link and your email has one, enter it here. If not, choose Skip.

Choose Done

Choose Done. TiviMate downloads your channels and your TV guide. This may take a few minutes the first time.

Final step

Try a channel

Press the arrows to choose a channel, and press Select to watch it. If you see a picture and hear sound after a few seconds, everything is working. Well done.
