Android TV has the widest choice of players, and TiviMate is popular for its cable-style guide. You need your Xtream Codes details or M3U link. The same steps apply to Sony and TCL TVs and to Android TV boxes such as Nvidia Shield.

Start

Open the Google Play Store

From the home screen, open the Play Store and sign in if asked.

Install a player

Search for TiviMate or XCIPTV and install it. These apps are players and do not include any channels.

Add a playlist

Open the app and choose to add a playlist or account.

Enter your login details

Choose Xtream Codes if your app offers it, then enter the server, username and password from your email. Otherwise paste your M3U link. Check for extra spaces.

Final step

Load channels and test

Wait for channels and the guide to load, which can take a few minutes the first time. Then play a live channel for several minutes. If the picture stutters, switch to 5 GHz Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
