How to Set Up IPTV on Chromecast with Google TV

Chromecast with Google TV runs Android apps directly, so you do not need to cast from a phone. Storage is limited, so remove apps you do not use. An older Chromecast without a remote does not have an app store and needs a phone to cast.
Start
Search in Apps
Open the Apps tab and search for TiviMate or XCIPTV.
Install the app
Install it. If storage is low, first remove apps you no longer use.
Use your phone as a keyboard
Typing is easier with the Google TV app on your phone.
Enter your login details
Choose Xtream Codes if your app offers it, then enter the server, username and password from your email. Otherwise paste your M3U link. Check for extra spaces.
Final step
Load channels and test
Wait for channels and the guide to load, which can take a few minutes the first time. Then play a live channel for several minutes. If the picture stutters, switch to 5 GHz Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
