Kodi needs a small official add-on to play live TV. You will need your M3U link. If you only have a username and password, ask us for it.
Start
Get your M3U link
Your M3U link is one long web address. Look for it in your welcome email, or message us for it. Copy it carefully, and keep it private, as it works like a password.
Open Settings in Kodi
Open Kodi. Move to the gear picture at the top left of the screen, and press Select.
Open Add-ons
Choose Add-ons. Then choose Install from repository. A repository is simply a store of add-ons, and this one is Kodi’s own.
Open PVR clients
Scroll down the list and choose PVR clients. PVR is just the name for a part of Kodi that handles live TV.
Install PVR IPTV Simple Client
Find PVR IPTV Simple Client in the list. Select it, then choose Install. If Kodi asks about other items it needs, choose OK. Wait for the message confirming that it is installed.
Open Configure
Select PVR IPTV Simple Client again, then choose Configure. If there is a choice of settings, choose the first one.
Choose Remote path
Under Location, choose Remote path. That means the list comes from a web address.
Paste your link
Select M3U Playlist URL and type your link. This is a good moment to use the Fire TV phone app, so you can paste instead of typing. Choose OK when finished.
Restart Kodi
Press the Back button until you reach the main screen. Close Kodi and open it again. A message shows your channels loading. Then choose TV on the main menu.
Final step
Still need help?
That is completely fine. Kodi can be fussy, and we are glad to suggest a simpler app. Message us on WhatsApp or by email, any day from 6 AM to 11 PM Eastern Time. Tell us your device and what you see on the screen. A photo of the TV screen helps a lot.
