How to Find Your MAG Box MAC Address and Add a Portal

A MAG box uses a “portal”, which is a web address, and a MAC address, its unique code. Contact us before setting one up, to confirm how your plan handles MAG boxes.
Start
Find your MAC address
Turn the box over and look for a sticker. Find the code beginning with 00:1A:79. Take a photo of it so that you have it exactly right.
Send it to us
Send the code to our support team on WhatsApp or by email. The portal works only after that exact code is linked to your account. We will send you a portal address.
Connect the box
Connect the box to your TV with an HDMI cable, and to your internet box with a network cable. Plug in the power, and turn on your TV. Choose the right input.
Open System Settings
When the box starts, press the Setup or Set button on the remote. Choose System Settings, then Servers, then Portals.
Name the portal
Move to Portal 1 Name and press OK. Type a name, such as “Home”. Use the on-screen keyboard. Many models accept a USB keyboard, too, which is easier.
Type the portal address
Move to Portal 1 URL. Type the address we sent you, including http:// and any numbers at the end. A single wrong character will fail, so check it carefully.
Save and restart
Press OK to save. Press Exit, then choose Restart Portal or Restart Device. The first load can take up to a minute.
Final step
See your channels
Your portal’s screen should appear. Choose TV to see your channels. Message us if you see an error, with a photo of the screen.
