Accept the Terms and Continue

After filling in your details, check “I agree to the Terms” and tap Next.

Verify Your Email Later, Then Enter Your Phone Number

You will receive an email to verify your email address, but for now, continue by entering your Canadian phone number.

Continue With Your Phone Number

After entering your Canadian number, tap Next.

Receive the SMS Verification Code

Shakepay will send you a text message (SMS) with a verification code.

Enter the SMS Code

Copy the verification code from the SMS and paste or type it into the code field.

Continue to the Next Step

Once the code is entered, tap Next.

Enter Your Legal Name

Fill in your first name and last name, then select “No” if that question appears.

Confirm Your Name Details

Review your name information and tap Next.

Enter Your Date of Birth

Fill in your date of birth in the required field.

Select Your Birth Date

Choose your correct date of birth from the date selector.

Continue After Selecting Your Birth Date

Once your date of birth is selected, tap Next.

Enter Your Residential Address

Type your home address exactly as it appears on your ID.

Confirm Your Address Information

Fill in all residential address details, then tap Next.

Choose Your Occupation

Select your occupation from the list and tap Next.

Select How You Heard About Shakepay

For the question “Where did you hear about Shakepay?”, choose “Friends and family”, then tap Next.

Choose How You Will Use Your Account

Select “Buying or selling digital currencies” and “Sending money to friends”, then tap Next.

Accept the Risk Disclosure

Read the information carefully, accept the terms, and tap “I understand the risks”.

Review and Confirm Your Information

Double-check all the information you entered, then tap Confirm.

Allow Notifications and Verify Your Email

Accept app notifications, then quickly open your email inbox and verify your email address.

Skip 2FA for Now (Optional)

You may skip 2FA for now, but it is strongly recommended to enable it later for extra security.

Complete the Selfie Verification (KYC)

Go to the Home Page and Tap Add

Return to the app’s home page and tap Add to fund your account.

Choose Interac e-Transfer

Select Interac e-Transfer as your funding method.

Continue to Funding Instructions

Tap Continue to view the funding instructions.

Send the Deposit by e-Transfer

Use the information provided by Shakepay to send the money through Interac e-Transfer from your bank account.

Wait for the Deposit to Arrive

After sending the transfer, wait a few minutes and check your account again. Deposits usually arrive within 10 to 30 minutes.

Open the Bitcoin Section

Once your deposit is complete, go to the Bitcoin section by tapping the Bitcoin card.

Tap Buy & Sell

On the Bitcoin page, tap Buy & Sell.

Enter the CAD Amount

Type the amount of Canadian dollars (CAD) you want to use, then tap Review Order.

Confirm the Bitcoin Purchase

Tap Buy Bitcoin to confirm your purchase.

Check the Success Message

A confirmation message will appear, such as “You bought Bitcoin” followed by the BTC amount.

Go Back and Start the Withdrawal

Return to the Bitcoin page and tap Withdraw.

Enter the Wallet Address

Enter the Bitcoin Amount to Send

Type the amount of Bitcoin (BTC) you want to send. If you bought only the amount you want to send, you can tap Max.

Review and Confirm the Withdrawal

Confirm the Crypto Withdrawal by Email

Check your email inbox and confirm the crypto withdrawal / cashout from the email sent by Shakepay.
