How to Set Up IPTV on Apple TV

Apple TV only installs apps from the App Store, which keeps things simple. Many of the better IPTV players are paid, so check the price and reviews before buying. You need your M3U link or Xtream Codes details.

Start

Open the App Store

On your Apple TV, open the App Store and search for an IPTV player such as iPlayTV or GSE Smart IPTV.

Install the app

Check the price and recent reviews, then install. No jailbreak or sideloading is needed.

Add your source

Open the app and add a new playlist or provider. Some apps let you type with your iPhone, which is faster.

Enter your login details

Choose Xtream Codes if your app offers it, then enter the server, username and password from your email. Otherwise paste your M3U link. Check for extra spaces.

Final step

Load channels and test

Wait for channels and the guide to load, which can take a few minutes the first time. Then play a live channel for several minutes. If the picture stutters, switch to 5 GHz Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
