How to Change Channels and Use the Remote in TiviMate

The everyday basics of TiviMate: change channels, open the list, go back and find your favourites.

TiviMate is laid out a lot like a cable box. Here is what each press does while you watch.

Start

Open TiviMate

Press and hold Home, choose Apps, then select TiviMate. It usually opens on the last channel you watched.

Change to the next channel

While watching, press up on the ring for one channel and down for the other. A small bar shows the name of the channel. Give it a few seconds to start.

Open the channel list

Press Select once while watching. A list of channels appears on the screen. Use up and down to look through it, and press Select to change channel.

Change the group

With the channel list open, press the left arrow. A list of groups appears, such as your favourites or sports. Choose one to see just those channels.

Open the TV guide

Press the left arrow again, or look for TV Guide in the menu. You see what is on now and later. Move through it with the arrows, and press Select on a program to watch it.

Final step

Leave full screen menus

Press the Back button to close any list. Your channel keeps playing. If you press Back too many times, TiviMate may ask if you want to close it. Choose No to stay.
